My two photos I chose for showing strength was in the same art project but I chose to re-do after I finished my first one because I did not like the way it looked. This project was with pen and ink, which was hard for me because everytime you started a new line you would have to dip the pen in the ink. I struggled with the placement of the lines and the gradient. I learned in this project to take your time because in the first one I didn't and it turned out awful, but once I realized that I started a new one and took my times and my line strokes were better that made my piece look more realistic.
My artistic strengths are with prisma colors. I like using prisma colors the most I can blend them easily and the quality looks good. My weakness in art is probably using acrylic paint, I did not enjoy having to blend al the colors together to get the right color espicelly when the next day you would have to do it all over again and not get the same exact shade. I also do no do well with coming with ideas.I can improve by practicing different techniques.
For this project turning a famous art piece into a monster I did not like. My motivation for this project was probably a 1/10 because it just wasn't interesting to me and hard to do because I only had a reference for the first picture and had to makeup the other 2 and at the end I had a reference for a werewolf but still had to shape it to Marilyn Manroe. The two pictures in the middle look a little unfinished so they don't work out. My speacific struggle was that I didn't have motivation but I knew once I finished it I could move onto my last project that I got to choose my media so I knew it wasn't gonna have to be paint. If I was given the same project again I would choose a different painting that would be an easy reference.
On my final project of the class I used prisma colored pencils to color the piece. This is my favorite art project I did because I actualy enjoyed drawing and coloring this. The dolphin is my favorite part of the picture because the colors are blended very well. This picture says what my future in 10 years so that says to me as an artist that I won't be still taking art classes in 10 years. I think this piece is my best because I took the time to blend colors really well and try to make it look as real as possiable with shadows and shades. The colors to me make this project good and the fact that I actually enjoyed this project because I got to choose my own media made it good.
